You may be right. There may be payback for that too especially in this age when people are quite rightly deeply suspicious of politicians so many of whom lie through their teeth and utterly fail to represent the views and wishes of their constituents.

May did break her promise not to go to an election before 2020 but she did have a good premiss for doing so in the light of the Brexit result.
