Does anyone actually have any good sources for explaining the recent thermal coal rise? The general overlying factors of China curtailing inefficient /dirty coal mines and consolidating has been known for some time, but I haven't seen any recent news articles regarding the surge to and past $70, and recently to the $75 range. Surely some country related or supply news to explain the sudden surge than a general lifting of prices for demand/supply changes due to the general macro factor of china limiting their coal production?
Be keen to read/collate any information here if anyone comes across anything?
