watso tends to gently braise his snags (using solar in summer - and on the induction cooktop in winter )..
the fatso had purchased two packets of 66% rtc pork/beef/herb sausages - but could only fir 14 in the frypan so had 2 left over - which were hiding in the fridge for a few extra days .
using nothing more than a small 500ml capacity thermos - watso first preheated the thermos with boiling water, then also pre-warmed the 2 sausages in the thermos ... then after 5 or 10 minutes , brought the water back to the boil .. and 45 minutes later, the sausages were cooked ..
there are plenty of online videos about thermos cooking - but this woman looks like she cooked a lovely stew in her neat (larger) thermos .. (using the pressure cooker is quicker) ..
HOWEVER when there is a power outage (or when camping etc etc ) - then using the heat from one of those small portable gas cookers - combined with a thermos (or thermal cook pot) would be a good option..
a good quality thermos (the cheap ones from aldi were good) is a must for slow cooking over a few hours
