there are plenty of online videos about thermos cooking - but this woman looks like she cooked a lovely stew in her neat (larger) thermos .. (using the pressure cooker is quicker) ..

HOWEVER when there is a power outage (or when camping etc etc ) - then using the heat from one of those small portable gas cookers - combined with a thermos (or thermal cook pot) would be a good option..

a good quality thermos (the cheap ones from aldi were good) is a must for slow cooking over a few hours

did porridge (oats) today in the thermos - and it worked a treat ... was cooked and piping hot after 4.5 hours

used the 500ml steel thermos - which almost neatly fitted inside another thermos for more insulation
