The forgotten lot in all this mess - employees.

The LIFX employees that were hired with options as a significant part of remuneration, slaved away to ship the products and had all of that escrowed for a year after LIFX was acquired - while the investors and some in the executive team were allowed to fully or partially cash out. I'm not even going to get into the ridiculous pay the exec teams get for burning investor cash and there will be no consequences - they will move on and build new companies, hire new people and give everyone more grief. The cycle repeats.
