Based on the statement in the release about exiting before financing requirements, and our previous understandings of LSXs financing capacity - we can assume that is the main reason. But the market obviously agrees that this is not a great deal - with the stock trading where it was basically prior to the announcement. Yes there is more value there with the cash basically locked in - but we have to wait for 12months for the remainder of that cash - and in that time who knows what management will do with cash at bank. With this exit - LSX need to justify why they exist any longer as Pani was the sole reason I remained invested - it worries me that they may now rush in to new investments, locking up the cash in an effort to keep the jobs and management fees going. There is a reasonable case to justify wrapping this thing up from here and distributing the cash to shareholders.
