You conveniently overlook the scare campaign by the LNP on
property values and on asylum seekers. All in the eye of ones bias.
Both Party’s struck at what they perceived as the weakness of the
other and both issued denials and the electors decided whom they would believe.
Normal politics.
The polls pointed to an exceptionally close result and thats what we have.
The AEC has advised it may take up to a month for all outcomes to be declared.
A small number of votes in a handful of seats will decide who forms either a slim
majority or minority government.
The Senate will be more complicated than the previous one and the double
dissolution was a waste of time and money.
There will be recriminations and while the LNP may form govt but it will be even more dysfunctional than the Gillard government.
