Agree. On closer scrutiny of the “preliminary spot handheld XRF assays”;
• The mineralised intercepts in the highlights are selectively reported as maxima which is not in accordance with the JORC code. If you average the XRF readings for the 20cm upper semi-massive zone you get 2.2% nickel. The average of the XRF readings for the “14.65m of komatiite hosted nickel rich disseminated and semi-massive sulphides” is only 0.34% nickel which IMO hardly rates as nickel rich
• No detail is provided on the conductor (nor in the announcement dated 29 Oct 13) and whether it has been effectively tested by this hole.
At this stage you can only conclude that significant sulphides possibly containing nickel have been intersected over two very narrow (20cm and 5cm) zones. The announcement could have been drafted to provide a more balanced perspective.
