It's only going to get worse, with the value of any company's shares completely devoid of any reality, and completely unrelated to their performance, financial or otherwise. I listed to USA experts discussing A.I. and the stocks markets of the future - it was chilling. The markets become more of a casino, and bear no relation to reality. It's amazing how governments around the world are so worried about losing control because of A.I. that they are having conferences and proposing strict limits on what they are going to allow A.I. to do, but NONE of them even considered or commented on Stock Markets - this just shows how the world has become run by complete political incompetents who know nothing. For instance, in Australian parliaments around the states, we have people voted in as politicians who can't even spell their own names, you can hear them every day on ABC Radio being interviewed. History repeats, all the great empires and civilizations have eventually fallen because of the pure stupidity and corruption and greed and inaction of it's political leaders. It probably didn't start with Caesar, but he's a good example. He stabbed to death by 30 Roman Senators on the floor of the Senate. Those senators were the 30 richest men in Rome, protecting their wealth, because Caesar has introduced plebeians and people's representatives into the parliament. The wealthy shouldn't rule because they only pass laws to enhance their own personal wealth. The plebeians shouldn't rule because a lot of them have IQ's that are sub-moronic (as in our parliament now). So what is the solution? Perhaps a benevolent dictatorship, though this could easily go off the rails and end up in mass persecutions. Perhaps we should have a parliament of altruistic scientists, maybe that would work, either way, the current system is failing dismally, and getting worse.

We need to close down the ASX, and create a new entity that disallows algorithms and A.I. trading - at least that would be a start. But, of course, it's never going to happen.
