On that Republic, when I return the Oz and hear that, to me thats all the recent arrived PR holders in Oz who would love nothing more than to start Australia's history from 1980 and forget about anything before, no ANZAC, no fall of Singapore, no England, no proud history that doesn't involve them. Becoming a Republic gives them that to a point, because the Queen and England are a part of Australia and Australian history, not a part of them. With so many so called Australians born o/s, the next vote may get the Republic over the line....that will be a very sad day for Australia.
