My friends sometimes call me Ivan: Ivan Idea
Having printed out the Chairman's letter on premium quality A4 paper, I proceeded to the toilet where I sat and thought about the events of the past few months. Quite obviously, it has been rough! Optimism has turned to cynicism, and my grand plans to regain prior losses have become somewhat less feasible. To top it all off, there seems to be this notion that the board has done all they could with information that we holders may not have been privy to, and that we should be a little more rational from an investment perspective.
Well...
No thank-you.
Here is the information I have at hand...
- Legal right to explore and drill: check
- Unlawful suspension of license: check
- Successful challenge against suspension: check
- Box seat for further action: check
- Shareholder support for continued action against government: check
Now, that is just a brief snapshot of our position. It does not even touch on the full picture of things in our favour. All of which, I think, presents a pretty compelling case to push for a better result. As many others have posted here, it is time to take control of our investment. Nothing new here, but let's give Ivan a minute to rabble on...
Step 1. Vote no.
Step 2. Remove the board or hold them to full account going forward. Ivan thinks they should go, but adequate replacements are needed, and they have to hit the ground running, which could be messy, but hey, the whole thing already stinks...
Step 3.1. Commence talks with the government for a better offer.
Step 3.2. Push ahead with drilling of Rosella. Record the whole thing. Make sure any illegal activities are referred to the authorities.
Step 3.3. Commence legal action against government for suspension of Rosella activities. Put Anthony Roberts front and centre. Get the media all over it.
Step 4. Force the government, through our consistent refusal to be screwed over, to work with us or shut us down. Let the people of NSW know that we are trying to help them. Play the victim, as we have been all along.
Step 5. Hang in there. Ride it until the end. If a decent offer comes through, accept it and dissolve the company. If the courts have to rule, we are at their mercy, good or bad. However, we wouldn't be seeking money for the company yet, just Rosella. If the government shuts us down, well, what is a weak as water 7 cents anyway, right? I would rather run the gauntlet.
Step 6. Enjoy the success of our new and invigorated company, or sue the government in any way, shape or form available to us.
Step 7. Retire happy or go broke.
All in all, it is simple... Vote no. I think big things happen after that. Just think, the media wants a no vote. It creates a story, and our story is worth telling.
... Or, it could be the dumbest idea I... I mean, Ivan... Has ever had.
Good luck guys. Getting close now!

... Oh, and after finishing in the toilet, I found a pretty handy use for that letter...
