Actully, what brought Trump down was his pathetic response to the covid pandemic. As it unfolded he was more concerned with the economy because he used that as a measure of his success of his time in office. But in doing so it back fired as the pandemic got worse and worse and hence the primary reason he got noted out.

Perhaps his response was a national security one and he wasn't going to show weakness to a 9/11 type attack. At the threat of never going to a Chinese territory again (or never returning), was there a purpose to C19?
