it looks very much like a 19 year old without even a Drivers Licence
will win a seat for Labor

eeeer, this surely is a joke
    but its not

so, what does it say about the people that voted for him
haven't a clue or don't care or it doesn't matter the direction of their State, their seat, or

AND WHAT does it say about the liberal or the person who held the seat before ?

A 19-year-old student could become the first ALP member for Brighton in a landslide victory across the board for Labor.

"I just thought I'd stick my hand up... I wasn't expecting this."

Bentleigh East resident Declan Martin, was originally helping Bentleigh candidate Nick Staikos with his campaign before deciding to run for the neighbouring seat, running his campaign on a "small budget".

It was very small. It cost around $1,750 and ran for about six weeks," he said.

When asked by 9News if he expected such success, he replied: "Deary me, no.
"I've been in a state of shock, I've been drinking water and trying to sit as much as possible all night.

With his supporters cheering him on, Martin said he would "give it my all and bring a fresh new face to parliament".
And on the subject of how he will get around as an MP, he declared he has not yet got a driver's license.

"I'm not on P's, I'm on my yellow L's," he said.

    "I'm on about 138 hours."
He's now considering deferring from university to take on political duties but the learner driver might need his mum to drive him around.
