I think they actually do get it - - what they don't get is what to do about it --------- people angry, people living in the past - what to do?
Personally, I think the answer is staring them in the face ------- it is very clear that there are a LOT of people who feel compassion for immigrants - and, there are a lot of people who feel that immigrants are a good thing ------ doesn't matter why - just look at the signs around Syd and Melb - people WANT to welcome immigrants.
But, there are a lot of people that DON'T like immigrants - and are frightened by them.
The 'political' solution - in my view - is to 'take' immigrants ------------ a. wisely -------------- and b. - those that transgress - like turds with machetes on Melbourne trams or other scum ------------ come down HARD ----------- piss em off ---------- next plane -- no excuses, no ifs, no buts, --------- no chance of reversing decisions - just piss em off or put em in jail for a very very very long time.
People who support immigrants can't argue with machete wielding boofheads - treeswingers - but, it would placate the others - and, rightly so.
There is a middle line - and, it is something like the above ------------- but, no one has done it ---------- both sides sit firmly on their side of the fence ------------ either no - we hate the buggers or - yes, we love the dears.
I don't really understand why we haven't found a middle line ----------- after all - nothing wrong with good immigrants - and nothing right with bad buggers ---------------------------- pretty easy solution - and, if the laws don't allow it --------- then, change the laws ---------- common sense laws that, if, opposed by a side - well, that side would look very very silly if the argument was put even remotely right.
and, no - it isn't too simple ------------ it's just plain bloody common sense ------------- the Lindt Cafe man ----------- why, in the name of God was he here? and - why, was he allowed on our streets?
Get rid of that trash before we have to explode his head in a public place and kill a couple of hostages in the process - and, we are halfway to winning a solution for all.
