problem is it could take years for the administrators to declare the shares are worthless and that is the danger. It is not as simple as you think with some companies. I know of some companies that went into administration / liquididation and the administrators are still not prepared to sign off saying the shares are worthless which means you cannot yet claim it as a capital loss. You could though sell the shares on www.delisted.com.au and you can do that now with NFL if you want.
