Well really it boils down to what diff does it make if he had $6m or 60c. in the bank or if he won lotto or imported frozen pork bellies? No amount of money will bring the dead back to this life or give the limbless their limbs back. So what has money got to do with it? If anyone considers 'money' as compensation for 'a loved one' then that is materialism at it's worst, but I suppose it does happen.
