No logic if you really care about the environment,and agl loves to say how 'green' they are. In western port agl is planning an LNG 'IMPORT' facility,that makes no sense considering the vic conventional gas reserves locations as previously posted.. The new facility will be built at crib point in western port ,western port must be dredged to cater for the LNG ships.We all know the damage dredging did to port phillip bay ,from the release of toxins to the increase in tidal flows and related erosion and 3 eyed fish.. So they dedge western port and increase tidal flows which will be interesting the effect that has on the massive mud flats above sea level at low tide. Then agl releases chlorine daily into the bay environment something i'm sure the dolphins and seals will appreciate,then we have the imminent nasty critters that will be introduced from the ship hulls and ballists into the western port bay environment,that has worked well in port phillip bay. . So the plan is to stuff western port like they stuffed port phillip with an lng import facility,but to make sure they stuff western port properly they will build the mitsubishi hydrogen 'EXPORT' facility next to it in hastings to export 100% of the australian produced hydrogen to japan. No logic at all,and what ever you do don't mention developing victorian conventional gas reserves for our own domestic use,its much better to stuff western port so we can import gas and export hydrogen.Typical stupid so called green thinking.imo only..
