I'm getting a little confused as to who is agreeing with who, clearly i understood acorn's posts.
My point was that on a lge scale solar requires lge volumes of batteries.
So my other point was seperating hydrogen from sea water has been understood for many years.
But the issue is corrosion.Stanford believes they have developed a coating that will slow or potentially stop the corrosion issue. The result would be solar panels used to seperate the hydrogen from the sea water/oxygen ,the hydrogen then 'doesn't require toxic batteries to store it,it is stored in pressure tanks just like gas and obviously provides clean base load energy without the toxic batteries.
And the tanks are easily recycled.
ps imo only solar panels will become much more efficient and environmentally friendly as they are deveoped.
