Heavy advertising in the weak times and a sharp pencil to pull customers from other struggling retailers was Sidney Myer's game plan and is just good retail practice.
Further, we are ten days from Christmas. Have to jolly the punters to buy lots of expensive presents. This is when the majority of profits are made. Cross your fingers MYR has a reasonable festive season.
