Maybe this won't be well received, but as far as this shareholder is concerned that announcement puts everything back on track, for the time being.
It doesn't matter whether the revisiting of the valuation came via what pressure, or even who the valuer is, providing that the end result is not skewed in favour of one side or the other, let's wait and see what the next version says.
Generally, though, the announcement doesn't contain much that I'd want to argue with about the reasons for the spin-off, it more or less tallies with the known financial facts of life over at Gippsland.
Perhaps we can have a cease fire until the next valuation surfaces, always assuming people accept that the spin-off is going to happen and that the major bone of contention is the value to be given to GIP's share of Heemskirk.
