re: bargain prices I am with you the fundamentals of BHP and co are great medium-long term but there could be some nervous days in the meantime. As for iron ore my only concern is that the triopoly (if that is a word) do not screw the Chinese on price simply because they can, and kill the golden goose in future years. Looks like 19% or so price rise and I just hope they have done their sums and made the Chinese steel industry viable. We don't need boom-bust if we can avoid it, it is hard enough with speculation in other metals let alone mining companies being greedy and short sighted. The Chinese want a win-win outcome and despite my iron ore stock holdings I am inclined to agree with them.
