I took a wrong turn and ended up in Oz these past few days and managed to see my first snippet of this election.
I was particularly interest in the joust regarding the bank deposit levy. Rudd explained the need for the fund, like all other G20 countries have done, to protect banks from future crisis. Abbott said there was no need because the GFC was 4 years ago.
On that issue, Abbott came across as severely retarded. Is he that retarded?
