Thanks DECA ... in NZ (where I reside now) Pap tests are still recommended for women betweeen the ages of 20 and 70. I can certainly recall having them in my pre-30's.
The frequency with which tests are performed in NZ is slightly different to NSW (unsure about other Aussie states) so maybe the recommended ages differ also.
