Before someone takes me to task for suggesting that UCG power plants will have zero emissions like hydro, let me say that I didn't mean to imply that they would. UCG plants will certainly have emissions. What I meant was that I think that (being positive and optimistic) Thar and Kingaroy when they are built should, by comparison with existing smoke belching coal-fired power stations, look very clean, elegant and appealing to the eye, just like I noted Snowy Hydro's Murray 1 and 2 do. (Some of the others of course are underground and totally invisible.)
