At risk of being accused of hubris and bragging I'll spell out a few trades (and investments)I made in perceived high sovereign risk countries:

ADU (Ghana)-traded at profit
AVL (Congo)-holding
BSG (Georgia)-holding
CGX (Mongolia)-traded at profit
CMX (Philippines)-traded at profit
EQR (Tanzania)-holding
GGN (Botswana)-holding
MRC (S.Africa)-holding
PNA (Laos & Thailand)-holding
RBK (Ghana)-traded at profit
TAW (S.Africa)-part traded at profit

Just trying to point out that a healthy spread (and sometimes quick feet) in high risk areas may bring hefty benefits.

Of course I also lose money,generally in Oz.

May I also add that above profits (over the years) were by far superiour to gains in so called safe places.
