Asides from having invented most of Australia...

    1. Television
    2. Telephone
    3. Fax
    4. Pneumatic Tyres
    5. Road Surfacing (Tarmac)
    6. Radio
    7. First edition of the Encyclopaedia Brittanica (hard copy wikipaedia)
    8. The post office
    9. The sticky postage stamp
10.Logarithms (basis of all advanced maths)
    11. Hypnosis (for stubborn sheep)
    12. First cloned animal (a sheep, unsurprisingly)
    13. The SI unit of temperature
    14. The decimal point
    15. Bicycles
    16. Hypodermic syringe
    17. Antibiotics (later stolen by Australia, similar to Crowded House and Russell Crowe)
    18. Discovering insulin
    19. Cures for malaria, scurby and typhoid
    20. Antiseptic practices
    21. Lawnmowers (as sheep substitutes)
    22. Steam engines (thus ushering in the industrial age)
    23. Modern economics
    24. Banks of England and France
    25. Sheep shagging (sorry New Zealand, we were there first)
    26. Bovril (thus stolen as vegemite by Australia, still foul)

On a per capita basis, Scotland's innovations cannot be beaten. We also like to get drunk, wear skirts and misbehave. But so do most of the judiciary.

    :)
