I must say that after listening to what some here have to say about the oppie votes I have decided to change my view to undecided.

I asked the directors at last year's AGM if they would consider rewarding shareholders by allowing us to participate in a future cap raising. e.g. non-renounceable rights issue of shares with free attaching options. The reply I got was something to the effect that "we always look after our shareholders".

Well, the Prince was certainly looked after, yet many on this thread, including myself, have been shareholders and strong supporters of UMC for far longer than the Prince.
