Between 1990 and 1992 under Labor's Joan Kirner Victorians were leaving in droves. It wasn't just her fault, it all started with John Cain's mismanagement of finances but she was seen as incompetent who's best idea at the time was to tell us all to go shopping. The polka dot Premier............
Enter Jeff Kennett who turned it all around and got Victoria vibrant again. He sacked over 100k public servants and walked amongst the "Save Albert Park" protestors without police protection to argue for a major event to be brought to town, the Grand Prix. Unfortunately there is no Jeff Kennett to turn things around this time.
Homelessness is growing and little tent cities are popping up everywhere. It's worse this time, probably because Andrews was far worse than Cain/Kirner. He has destroyed the State for generations but hey, he has an OBE now thanks to one of his highly paid staff nominating him for the award.
