thanks lappie.... it wasn't a major problem and all good now.
but the 12 hours in the waiting room was very hard to take. others there were in a worse way, not to mention those the ambulances had brought in over that period.
my point was to highlight that its the same all over the country thanks to Abbott's freezing of GP medicare payments.
people refused, or could not, pay the gap and so opted for the ED instead. this caused Eds all over the country to get flooded with more people while GPs suffered a double whammy of reduced payment in real terms and reduced patients and so small GP practices went bust while the bulk clinics, where substandard care is available at rorted bulk billing rates thrived. many GPs went out of their local family business. this, of course worsened the ED crisis.
