It seems to be that a large number of Aussie punters, if not most, can only conceive of success for an Aussie company as being taken over by an overseas company. This really troubles me as yet another sign of the good old Aussie cultural cringe at play. They can't get their head around success being in the form of a growing international company that may be a leader in its field and grow so large it needs to spin off dividends when the cash flows become so large the company can't invest it quick enough in other projects. LNG Ltd could easily become the latter form of success - like BHP, RIO, Fortescue, Woodside, CSL etc.

Even though you have many good posts, in my view this is your best work. I strongly agree with your thoughts. These takeovers supporters used to be known back in the day as "fast buck artists".
