Sorry TC,
That don't rub with me mate. I replied to your post 8309 that I understood about journalistic sensationalism but I was sort of inferring that you hadn't really read the story and that you had no grounds for having a go at Au1.
TC did you actually go to the web site and read the story that you talk about in post 8309??
Because here is a caption about the house that had a price drop of 100,000. "Drastic reduction: This two-bedroom flat in Kensington & Chelsea has been reduced by £100,000 since August - £50,000 of that since the start of November. The property, off Holland Park Avenue, is now on the market for £399,950".
But you said this: ' The most expensive area for property remains Kensington And Chelsea where a terraced house would set you back on average £1,869,623 which is Aud $4,392,970 that a price for a terrace house. The average price for house yes a house not a terrace house is
In Kensington and Chelsea is the most expensive residential street in Britain with an average house price of £4,677,500.
The average house prices of between £3 million and £4million in the period 2004-2008 for Kensington and Chelsea
or in AUD between 7,122,000 and Aud 9,500,000 and this an average price over 4 years So if you take 100,000 pounds off your price or 238 thou AUD in those areas like A1 said its not really a slash in price."
Again TC if you actually bothered to read the article you would have to agree that 100,000 off of a house that was originally on the market for 500,000 is quite a drop.
Sure that might be just one house, but seeing as though they had a picture of that one house it is not unreasonable to assume that that one house was one of the focal points of the story, and therefore the headline actually did sum it all up pretty well and there was no need to try and make out as though Au1 or the journalists somehow were bending the facts.
Perhaps your post 8309 was the reason that I couldn't detect the sarcasm in this thread and so I completely missed your joke.
sorry.
