"when everyones talking about it, its time to get out."

That sounds much more like 2007 than now.
Most of the popular news sites publish more bearish views on gold than bullish.
Almost no one is asking me what gold stocks I like these days. I was getting asked that in 2011 but even that was no comparison to the number of people asking me what stocks I liked in 2007. That included friends, family, family members of friends and yes even the taxi drivers. It was always the topic at any social event. No comparison to now with gold stocks.
