Frog n Toad, I agree your opinion is better than the current model for the DRS. My old school way of thinking is to can it totally, but know realistically that's not going to happen. If technology is going to be introduced it should be absolutely 100% accurate, just as it seems to be with "Hawkeye" in tennis. At the moment the system is leading to unhealthy focus on an individuals call to refer to the DRS, rather than the usual critique of their sporting ability. I have listened and read various sports media over the past couple of days and most of the focus is about the DRS rather than cricket. I don't believe we have gained anything by bringing it in with its current format, in fact probably gone backwards. If the DRS keeps tracking on its current path with controversial outcomes, we will remember this ashes series for all the wrong reasons.
