Back in the '70s I was in a Maritime Reco squadron and I was wondering about defence policy. I always figured that "homeland defence" would more likely be shooting wooden boats than submarines and warships.
I was wrong about who would be in those boats because in those days it was the "yellow peril" and I hardly knew moslems existed but, somewhat overdue, my prophesy may be just over the horizon. I say this because once the hoards, no matter where they originate, sense they can overwhelm border forces, they will. "Turn back" will only work so long. Once there are millions swarming from Gibraltar to Java a couple of patrol boats and some orange life boats will not be enough.
We will need to be steadfast, or surrender without a whimper. We have been disarmed so it is up to the government to repel them.
