The price of gold is an obvious driver for the Rox share price.Safe-haven gold has everything going for it right now: US tariffs, Trump deals replacing rules, fiscal policy, geopolitical risks, and a growth slowdown.Official gold reserves in China have now risen for 16 consecutive months.Wall St took a hammering on Friday, with Futures deeply negative.Warren Buffett's cash position is at an all-time high.Goldman Sachs Group Inc. ramped up its gold price forecast to USD 3,300 (AU 5,246) an ounce by year-end.It could be even higher in years to come because gold is in a long-term upward channel (see below)Don Durrett of GoldStockData.com predicts economic turmoil and a recession will send gold into hyperdrive.Goldman Sachs sees a recession-induced Fed cutting cycle raising end-2025 gold prices to $3,410 (AU 5,411) per ounce ) and increased investor demand for gold as a hedge supporting prices toward $3,680 (AU 5,839) per ounce. Plug those numbers into the PFS metrics.Another reason for optimism about the Rox share price is that CEO and MD, Phill Wilding has been remarkably successful in engaging sophisticated global investors on progress at our high-grade, high-margin underground Youanmi gold project.Phill is esteemed in the mining industry and despite being new to the CEO role, he is proving adept at telling the Rox story of compelling economics and potential for significant further upside at Youanmi.Who would have thought Rox would present to the prestigious Swiss Mining Conference in Zürich. Not so long ago, Rox had to wedge its presentation between two market darlings so investors would be forced to watch it to catch the one coming after it.International investors are now taking a stake in Rox and because Phill is not seeking to raise cash they are buying on the market and pushing the share price up.Rox is on track as a near-term gold producer. The last drilling report was on 11th March and with multiple rigs spinning we could get another update soon. The stars are aligning, and Rox is well positioned to jump to 40-50 cents in the near term.
