Wow, what a surprise when I opened that link. Back then they seem to have done some objective reporting which was free from US manipulation. US "interests" don't necessarily align with anyone else's interests. Contrast that with today, especially noting what they don't report. They usually don't lie outright because it will be fact checked so they lie by omission. Syria was a good example and the Rohingya story going on right now is a classic illustration. Another less used tactic is conflating one fact based story with another fact free one.
