I'm no investing expert but I have watched a recent short of kogan quite closely. the main learning I have is that 3% shorted can effect the SP significantly both on the way down and during any eventual squeeze. The 3% stat on shortman is the amount of shares loaned out, not necessarily the actual amount short sold.
kgn jumped around 40% during the recent squeeze. I followed the shorts on shortman and roughly 3% was handed back to the actual owners during the squeeze.
the next few months could be a wild ride.
