Hospital staff are worked half to death in good weeks - long before this virus came along. I doubt there is a hospital in Australia that could function with half a crew. I am hearing rumours that some staff, if this virus goes out of control here - and given the incompetence of the federal and state governments - that will be in the next fortnight - a month at the very most. Those staff may stay home regardless. Those would be pregnant nurses and doctors, those with pre-existing conditions that might be aggravated by this disease, older staff....etc.....
