Lol, read the full article earlier, and all thru I'm thinking why the hell don't they come clean and say MAGNETS, NdFeB specifically, US doesn't import any magnet oxides.
Then the last para gave the answer:
"Industry executives, however, said China’s strength in refining had more to do with its higher tolerance for pollution than any technological edge."
Basically the author is a muppet, parroting the correct propaganda, but no doubt that'll have the US carnival barkers working up to an apoplexy.
