Irrespective of where the SP goes, the placement has nothing to do with Alcoa. It is a placement in Alumina.
Most press coverage has been positive on the deal and I tend to agree. So do the recent insto's that have become substantial shareholders, the Chinese government etc.
Perhaps the Chinese government know something that we don't about their future alumina and bauxite production metrics.
