I shorted this yesterday with some good timing luckily, and am about to short this again. I think that the upward move of the last month approx might just be insider trading by those in China who knew what was going on - (definitely not suggesting that anybody senior in CITIC would do something like that). These insider traders are safe over there, and make a good living from insider trading). Just be wary that the extra volume around the start of Jan might not have been necessarily from the 4th q results, but from the fact that it was the point for the start of negotiations. Aluminium prices seem to still be trash to me, and there is no reason for bauxite or Alumina to be priced for price increases IMO, while Aluminium is in oversupply - contrary to media BS.
