Just to add to my previous post re: analogy between trading and picking a color off the roulette wheel...

I suppose the argument i'm trying to make is exactly this:

Trading is the equivalent of looking at a roulette table history, which shows the previous 10 spins red has come up and trying to guess whether the next number will be red or black.

Fundamental analysis is the equivalent of analyzing how fast the ball is spinning around the roulette wheel, measuring by what rate the ball is slowing down, measuring at what rate the wheel is slowing down, understanding the position of the ball on the wheel, and using math/science/physics to calculate where the ball 'should' land (usually quite accurately).
