I feel that you two in this debate know a lot more than me, but I would have thought that technical analysis fits just as well within that analogy of looking at previous spins and speed to determine where it lands (eg assessing previous price moves and volume to determine where the price is heading).

Technical analysis loses out massively to fundamentals if you're looking at longer term performance, but a good technical trader could profit in the short term. Technical analysis should be a better predictor on human behaviour, which BNPL is showing can have a bigger impact on share prices than fundamentals!
