It all depends also on how much of the sugary or starchy items were consumed before hand...it is all about balance.
I worked with a woman who's husband looked like a big eater and drinker, he was quite a "big" man. He only ate good foods and didn't drink alcohol...The problem was he consumed a lot of sugary soft drink and had a sedentary job.
If half the fatties around stopped pigging out on fatty take away foods and drinking coke they would lose a stack of weight without even trying...
Good on you pallister for making the effort to change life style and reap the benefit...
