    thats .6 a kw an hr...now during those times 2-8pm on the days...i turned off everything apart from 2 fridges...the microwave, the oven clock..and dvd players and tv on standby etc

    This link shows power usage for items on standby. It is an American site but the rates would not be dissimilar to here.
