Just a bit more. I know somebody who has a business that refurbishes chocolate and drinks vending machines. Inside the machines is a chiller unit. Each one gets it's power usage tested.
In some cases the chiller is using more power than expected, often because of a cable or seal leakage somewhere. But there are many faults that can arise.
In some cases (perhaps where the sensor is faulty or the gas pressure has fallen lots) the unit can be working almost constantly. If a burn out does not occur, the unit could use over 50 times more power than expected.
