Perhaps I am missing the big picture and please forgive me but I would like to hear some other opinions on this.
If we are concerned about a takeover by RIO/Itushu then why not be equally concerned about a takeover by Kalahari who own 43% already - seems they are handing themselves shares on a silver platter without giving the rest of us a chance to participate. Wouldn't it be fairer to have a capital raising allowing all current shareholders to paricipate thereby not increasing anyones percentage holding but still raising the required capital.
There doesn't seem to be any immediate need to raise capital so timing is not the issue. Also, after the resource upgrade and the DFS are released surely EXT will be worth considerably more than its current value and would be diluted less by a capial raising, not more as suggested.
