this has been the longest winter, page-9

Been a dry month up here. Hasn't rained at all in August so far. Beautiful days and had a couple of beautiful balmy nights in a row. Must be coming good as the bities are back. Could use the rain as all the leaves on the Sunshine Coast have found their way to my particular patch. Not kidding, I even managed to break the broom sweeping them on the weekend. Not a huge variety of brooms on the market unfortunately. Have been using the leaves in my garden beds as mulch. The orchids are stunning atm and I always marvel at how good they look for no work on my part whatsoever, especially those up in the trees.
