I agree with Boot's comments...
"This has got to be Len's call exclusively"...

Dex recalling the Lindy Chamberlain case has some
disturbing similarities here.

Many of you will remember this.....

The trial progressed with the majority of Australians
believing her to be guilty because she and her husband
didn't appear to be "upset enough" by the disappearance
of their baby daughter.

The case was coming to a close with the "Trial by Media"
looking weaker every day.

Then an irate well meaning person,stirred up the NT police
force for being totally incompetent in bringing forward
the very people who could have saved the Chamberlain's,
further pain and embarrassment.

Rather than look foolish,the NT police responded by
using a pathologist who had recently been moved "SIDE-
WAYS" from Sydney,for previous "botched" pathology,to
further their case with Lindy Chamberlain.

The result being, Lindy was convicted on the "congealed
blood" of her baby found in her car.

Three years later her case was reopened on "new evidence"
that the blood found in the vehicle,was in fact RED PAINT
used in conjunction with insulation to reduce engine
noise...the rest is history.

All that blood sweat and tears and lives damaged forever,
because of needing to prove a point "at all costs."


Boz..many feel the if Len had gone a little further out
toward Millmerran,where the properties are larger and
the hobby farmer cult were less numerous,there would be
none of the current drama.

What needed to have taken place,well before the onset
of the Kingaroy burn,was a public awareness campaign
promoting all the virtues of UCG and how it could be
demonstrated and used commercially in a horticultural,
and agricultural setting without disturbing anything.

Well the public know about it now..and Cougars 1st
round has brought all the lurking spiders to the
surface..soon to be reduced to total indifference
after the Federal Gov give the green light to the
CBM companies in Oct/Nov 2010.

This hypocrisy will run its course,with the Gov seen
to be doing the right thing to appease the greens..
and Cougar WILL be given the thumbs up to continue
at Kingaroy,albeit,leaving a bad taste in the mouths
of many IMO.
