"Then an irate well meaning person,stirred up the NT police
force for being totally incompetent in bringing forward
the very people who could have saved the Chamberlain's,
further pain and embarrassment."

The person - well meaning no doubt and maybe irate too - was the NT Coroner, Dennis Barrit, who, in a first for Australia, had invited TV cameras into court to report his findings that a dingo was responsible and that the NT Police had made a right mess of the investigation. This did not go down well with the latter.
